This site is the most comprehensive on the web devoted to trans history and biography. Well over 1700 persons worthy of note, both famous and obscure, are discussed in detail, and many more are mentioned in passing.

There is a detailed Index arranged by vocation, doctor, activist group etc. There is also a Place Index arranged by City etc. This is still evolving.

In addition to this most articles have one or more labels at the bottom. Click one to go to similar persons. There is a full list of labels at the bottom of the right-hand sidebar. There is also a search box at the top left. Enjoy exploring!

Brigham Morris Young

Given the current interest in Mormons I reproduce this picture of the famous Utah female impersonator Madam Pattirini, who was also Brigham Morris Young (1855 - 1931), the 35th son of the Brigham Young.

This picture is a circa 1883 placard advertising an appearance in Logan, Utah. Young performed as Pattirini at Mormon venues from the 1880s to the 1900s. He did a convincing falsetto, and many in the audience did not realize that Pattirini was Young.

He had one wife and 10 children.

  1. Fabulous! I'm a straight Mormon and I think that's great.
